Latest: KyoubeAI 1.11.0, released

  1. 1.11.0: A newer core and stronger agent rules

    • Updated the core underneath KyoubeAI to its October release. Back up before you update: database migrations run on the first start.
    • The agent working rules now protect manager agents with a low-trust policy instead of skipping them.
    • The security policy and the user groups page record how an agent's email inbox interacts with group restrictions.

  2. 1.10.0: Apps can save files

    • A Kyoube App can save a file it built, such as a CSV, a spreadsheet or a PDF, to the viewer's computer. The host checks the file type and size, and asks the person first unless they clicked to save.
    • Agents learn to add an export button to the apps they build. See Building KyoubeAI apps.

  3. 1.9.0: Apps hand work to agents

    • App tasks: a button in a Kyoube App can ask one of the company's agents to do a piece of work, such as drafting a reply or researching a lead, and the app shows the result.
    • Only people start or cancel these tasks, the usual assignment rules apply, and adding a task to an app needs a person to publish it.

  4. 1.8.0: Connections to outside services

    • Connections: apps and agents can call an outside service, such as a payments API or a CRM, with a key the company stores once. The key never leaves the server.
    • Admins choose read-only or read-write for each connection and which agents may use it. Every call is logged.

  5. 1.7.0: User groups

    • User groups decide which people may use which agents and apps, and at what data level. Owners and admins manage them under Company Settings.
    • Opening a chat with a protected agent now needs the right to assign it work.

  6. 1.6.0: Core update and cleaner agent chat

    • Updated the core underneath KyoubeAI. Harnesses no longer stop to ask permission, and mentioning an agent no longer starts its run.
    • Chat with a pi or Hermes Agent agent shows each reply once, as one readable message.

Full release notes for 1.6.0 (opens in a new tab)

  7. 1.5.0: KyoubeAI on your phone

    • KyoubeAI installs as an app on phones and computers, and sends push notifications when an agent asks you something, an approval is waiting, or your task is done.
    • Each instance sends its own notifications, encrypted, with no KyoubeAI server in between.
    • The Data page and the app runner fit phone screens, and agents build apps that work at phone width.

Full release notes for 1.5.0 (opens in a new tab)

  8. 1.4.1: Control which agents can change agents

    • A Can change agents switch on each agent's profile decides whether it may edit agents' instructions, skills and settings. Only owners and admins can change it.

Full release notes for 1.4.1 (opens in a new tab)

  9. 1.4.0: Typed decisions and AI columns

    • Typed decisions: agents and apps can ask a fast judge model closed questions and act on the answer, with a review lane for answers it is unsure of.
    • AI columns fill a table's fields from the rest of the row in the background.
    • An optional guardrail checks an agent's risky actions, such as dropping a table or publishing an app, and holds anything doubtful for a person.

Full release notes for 1.4.0 (opens in a new tab)

  10. 1.3.0: Licence keys

    • An instance is free for up to five users, and a licence key raises the limit. Existing users are never locked out, and AI agents never count.

Full release notes for 1.3.0 (opens in a new tab)

  11. 1.2.0: Agent working rules

    • Agents finish their own tasks and ask the person who started a task for approvals, instead of passing work around between agents.
    • Approval cards can only be answered by a person, and work moves up to a manager agent only when you decide it should.

Full release notes for 1.2.0 (opens in a new tab)

  12. 1.1.0: One-command install and update

    • ./install.sh takes a fresh copy to a running instance, and ./update.sh updates after a backup, with a one-command rollback. See Install KyoubeAI.
    • Install the harnesses you want from the Terminal. They and their logins survive restarts and updates, and the image is about 2.5 GB smaller.
    • Claude subscription connections now last a year instead of about eight hours.

  13. 1.0.0: The first release

    • KyoubeAI as a self-hosted AI operating system for an organisation: people and AI employees in one workspace, with roles, tasks and an audit trail.
    • A database for each company that people and agents design, apps that agents build on it, a project file browser, and a browser Terminal for owners and admins.
    • Source-available under the Business Source License 1.1, free in production for up to five users.
